Prevention is always better than cure. Don’t look for miracle cures. There are no miracle cures - only wholesome self-healing. Always focus on disease prevention!
Disease begins at the cellular level. Your cells make up your organs and tissues. Disease prevention is keeping them in their optimum conditions.
The 6 Disease Prevention Strategies
Acid-and-Alkaline Balance
Keep your cells in a balanced acid-and-alkaline environment (the optimum ph level is between 7.30 and 7.40). A too-acidic body is synonymous with disease.
Sources of acidity are: animal proteins, processed foods, sugars; alcohol, coffee, sodas, sugary drinks; tobacco; pharmaceutical drugs; stress.
A Raw Diet
Enzymes are important for proper digestion to break down food components for better nutrient absorption. Cooking kills enzymes in food.
Eat raw regularly for enzymes to optimize digestion. Eat fiber-rich foods to enhance elimination and to prevent constipation. Disease begins in the colon.
Eating a raw diet regularly is disease prevention.
Free Radicals
Your body is composed of may different types of cells, made up of many types of molecules.
Free radicals are reactive molecules, causing biological damage to cells and membranes, promoting disease.
Free radicals come from the environment (chemicals in processed foods, alcohol, tobacco, pharmaceutical drugs, pesticides etc.) and from chemical reactions (e.g. oxidation during breathing, digestion etc.) within your body. Free radicals cause cancer, heart disease, and many other diseases.
Antioxidants are scavengers of free radicals.
Detoxification
No matter what, your body may become loaded with toxins - from foods, chemicals, and the environment.
No matter how regular are you bowel movements (not once every other day, not once every day, but at least twice a day), your body needs detoxification on a regular basis for disease prevention.
Detoxify your body naturally! There are several ways of detoxification for disease prevention: fasting, water detox, complete body detox, and Asian detox!
De-Stress
Stress is another major factor contributing to disease. Stress is your body’s response to increased tension to body cells. Too much stress becomes distress - which is alienation, fatigue, fear, frustration, depression, and ultimately disease.
Chronic stress not only adversely affects the release of hormones, in particular DHEA (a hormone critical to aging and longevity), but also depletes your body of vital nutrients, such as vitamin C and the B-complex vitamins.
Stress is often the precursor to autoimmune diseases, such as diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis.
Stress, accelerating breathing, elevating blood pressure, and constricting blood flow, is the culprit of heart diseases.
Distressed emotions, as a result of stress, can also cause cancer.
Conquer stress with the mind, through powerful visualization and meditation. Restful sleep and meditation are also conducive to inner tranquility.
The Oriental Zen way is the way to inner calm for disease prevention.
Eating Right
Eat right, according to one Chinese proverb “Whatever the father of disease, its mother is wrong food” and another Chinese proverb “Disease comes in through the mouth, and trouble goes out through the mouth.”
Eat only super foods. Eat naturally. Go organic, wherever possible. Processed foods are loaded with chemicals to prolong shelf life but to shorten human life.
Most importantly, do not overeat.
Healthy eating is disease prevention!
